Private country residence located in the characteristic Umbrian landscape, made of hills and olive trees.
The project is conceived in line with traditional architectural forms to respond to the site\u2019s building code restrictions.<\/h5><\/div>\n\n\n\n
Architectural elements are reinterpreted in a modern way: the pitched roof, the exterior wall details, and the openings. All these elements become a way to introduce and instore new design aspects into tradition.<\/h5><\/div>\n\n\n\n
The architecture follows green and sustainable design principles. Materials used for the construction all come from natural regional resources as stone, lime plaster, clay floor and roof tyles.<\/h5><\/div>\n\n\n\n
Bioclimatic aspects are integrated into the design process: the north side is protected by the hill and by buffer spaces, while major openings are located on the south-oriented fa\u00e7ades to gain solar heat during the winter. Windows on south fa\u00e7ade are protected by overhanging roof.<\/h5><\/div>\n\n\n\n
The landscape becomes the focal point for all interior living spaces. Each opening acts as a frame, letting natural elements enter and offering a direct continuity between interior and exterior.<\/h5><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
